~Trusting God~

Welcome back!! I hope you have enjoyed reading the two former blogs I wrote! I was thinking and praying what I should write next. . . It is a very important (and sometimes hard) issue to deal with. “Trusting God,” is the next thing I want to talk about that will make us “beautiful in his time!” Trust is sometimes a hard thing to give someone and so, sometimes, we act in unbelief because of our lack of faith and trust in God. Faith and Trust are a lot alike yet they are both different. Faith is something you hope for but you haven’t seen. Trust is giving it up to someone and believing in that person to do what they said, which is also acting in faith! Have you ever had a best friend that lied to you or didn’t do what they said? How did it affect your relationship? Was it hard for you to have faith in that person or trust them after that? At some point or another, I think we have all had one of those kinds of people cross our paths. We are all different, and of course, we all make mistakes. *Though we are not to stay down, sometimes it is hard to get up and go again, especially if everyone knows…and, it will always be hard trying to prove your worth to someone after something happens. But we are to ask God to help us (if we really mean it) and pray that he allows the other person to see that.* Okay, that was a free tip! Now, back to trust… If you place your complete trust and faith in a person and they continually lie to you or don’t do the things they promise to do, your faith and trust will disappear, and rightly so! Let’s use a normal relationship for example… Everything is fine and you completely trust and have faith in your boyfriend/girlfriend and the relationship is great—until…. Until one of the friends become dishonest, untrustworthy and cheat. Your hope, faith and trust in that person are going to be shot. They ruined the perfect relationship yall had together. You gave them your complete trust and they break it! That is so painful to go through…because you will have tons of thoughts running through your mind. Why would they do it to me? Was I not good enough? What went wrong? If I give them my trust again, what will happen? Why did they lie instead of admit it? Why? Why? Why? You live in turmoil over the situation just because someone broke the trust! Now, they can become very sorry (and really mean it) and want forgiveness. The Bible expects us to forgive; but we are humans and that is not going to always be the easy thing to do! But, praise the Lord, we do have the courage and grace to forgive them and trust them again if we can see they have really changed. Im not just saying this, I have experienced what Im talking about and yes, you can still love and forgive that person and even give them trust again. But sometimes when we do give them that trust back, it’s not a complete and total trust. It’s more on a trial bases… We want to take a step back and see if they can ever be trusted again and rightly so. That’s why it’s so important to be faithful and trustworthy!! But that’s the way it is with humans, we all make mistakes! But, there is one person that you can place your faith and trust in and He will never fail you no matter what! And Im sure you know who He is by now….his name is God! Yep, he is the one and only person that you can completely and totally trust and never have to wonder if he will keep his word or if he will break your trust! He always knows what’s best for us even when we think we know it all! Nobody knows it all, we are not even promised tomorrow! God is the only one that sees the future, our lives and the big picture. He knows everything we think, say and do and what problems we will face in life. And he already knows all the answers….and since we don’t, we are to place our faith and trust in him to always see us through. We need to trust that God will never leave us. Hebrews 13:5 “…I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” We need to realize that God will never let us down! He will always be there for us whenever we go through our problems. As humans, sometimes we feel that no one is there for us or that God himself has forsaken us. But that’s not true, feelings do not override facts! God said he would never leave us and he never will. He is a great God that will always see us through. We should also trust the Lord to lead us in the right way! Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” We should trust that he knows what’s best concerning our life and that he will lead us in the way we are supposed to go. When we are standing at a crossroad, we are sometimes torn which way to go…just place your trust in the Lord and let him guide you on in this journey of life. He will always do what he said. We can trust him to protect us. Proverbs 29:25 “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.” With man comes fear…. Fear of the future, fear of being alone, fear of the unknown, fear of others, and fear of death. Sometimes, we don’t know what to do or who to turn to! The devil uses fear to destroy our emotions and mind! We must place our faith and trust in God to protect and give us life’s answers as we go along. Psalm 34:4 “I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” God will deliver us if we ask him too and seek him with our hearts! We can trust him to be our friend! Proverbs 18:24 “A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” Everyone needs a friend!! Sometimes our friends are closer than our family! We feel we can tell them stuff we cannot tell our family. But sometimes, even our friends and family turn their backs on us! We must look to Jesus to be our friend and he said he was the friend that “sticketh closer than a brother.” He will always be there when no one else is! Although there are dozens of things to trust God for, I wanted to tell you of one more thing… We can also trust God to save us!! Psalms 34:6 “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.” That’s an awesome verse! God will always be there to rescue and save us! All we have to do is trust him to and he will! He will always be there; he will never leave us or break his promises! Are you trusting God with your life?
